Dangerous goods
The transport of dangerous or hazardous cargo requires special treatment and is not to be undertaken lightly.
Aviacon is well known as a reliable carrier among prominent exporters of hi-tech dangerous goods, sensitive and hazardous materials.
It was nominated as a carrier for the airlift deliveries of high-value cargo under the contracts with the top world exporters, such as EADS, Thales Underwater, Nexter Systems, BAE Systems, Bharat Dynamics Limited etc.
Strict rules and procedures exist to ensure dangerous cargos are transported intelligently in order to minimize the risks associated with its nature.
Two in-house IATA certified DG specialists provide expertise and support in the proper processing of DG-related documentation and pre-flight load planning. They can check or assist in the preparation of cargo documentation, including the package required to obtain a special dispensation and on occasions specific diplomatic overflight clearances.
A lot of Aviacon’s international charters with high-tech DG materials were approved to transport ICAO Class 1 (so-called double forbidden cargo).
Since 2016 Aviacon is engaged in transportation of radioactive materials, including fuel for nuclear power stations.
